All Souls

Fiant aures tuæ intendentes in vocem deprecationis meæ.
Sustinuit anima mea in verbo ejus: speravit anima mea in Domino.
A custodia matutina usque ad noctem, speret Israël in Domino.

  1. My husband and I prayed our rosary in a cemetery today. I find them very consoling places. It makes me think of our union in Mystical Body. Some of those souls are no doubt in heaven. Sadly, some are probably in hell. But likely many are in purgatory. We are united there in the cemetery with past generations. And it was beautiful and so silent except for a breeze rustling the leaves. We sat on a bench near a monument to the Confederate dead from Woodstock, VA. I had to wonder how long the monument will last before some of the iconoclasts come to knock it down.
