Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord

My eyes stream with tears over the destruction
of the daughter of my people.
My eyes will flow without ceasing,
without rest,
Until the LORD from heaven
looks down and sees.
I am tormented by the sight
of all the daughters of my city.
- Lamentations 3

Prayers for the Coptic Christians bombed today, Palm Sunday.

Story here.

  1. Once again I am reminded of just how petty and vain all of the "he said, she said - I am right and you are wrong" arguments and gossip regarding Papa Francis and the faith are.

I will try to become even more focused in my prayers for world peace, reconciliation between all faiths and nations. My prayers too, for a more authentic way of life despite the many challenges here at home and abroad.

Palm Sunday is a glorious day but today, marked with sadness at the loss of life of the many innocent in Egypt.

    May heaven be theirs. Amen

  2. My take is that the world is being chastised on all sides. Spiritually by the evil one, ecclesially by a bad Pope and false teaching from many leaders, physically by jihad, etc.. God is trying to get our attention. Are we listening?

  3. Again an attack on an ancient Christian community. Can it be denied that this is a war on Christians any longer? Pope Francis will be going to Egypt soon. Pray for his safety.
