The assault force gathering outside Aleppo is reported to be made up of 10,000 troops and their goal is to finally recapture the rebel-held east of the city and bring an end its four-years of defiance against Bashar al-Assad and his regime. “There appears to be forces massing for some kind of assault on Aleppo,” said Mark Toner, a spokesman for the US State Department. When asked how long before the city fell to attackers, he replied: “It could be soon”. - Telegraph

  1. A once beautiful city reduced to ashes, dust, death. I read somewhere that despite the bombs and sniper attacks, Aleppo continues to have a thriving nightlife. During WYD 2016, it was reported that 2000 youth gathered in Aleppo to celebrate their own WYD. I watched the video on YT and cheered along with them. They were lively and joy filled in their praise and worship of the Lord. I thanked Him for such witness.

Every picture is a heart breaker especially those precious babies being rescued. So many innocents lost to war for so many centuries.

    1. I know - I looked up siege of Aleppo - the city has been decimated half a dozen times over the centuries. Today it is being pummeled and these poor people keep going. My rosaries are for them, the babies killed in abortion, war, and terror, and for priests - good and bad - they seem to be hunted these days. I'm really concerned about priests.

  2. I read that we sold 100 million in weapons to Syria. Can this be true? If so we have blood on our hands. There will be a long line at the Court House filing law suits now that our Congress one day passes and the very next day regrets opening the Pandora's box of liability for terrorist acts. We are sinking fast.
