For as it was in the days of Noah ...

In [those] days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day that Noah entered the ark. - Matthew 24

  2. Permit a spanner in the works...God then promised not to do such again and hence gave us the rainbow as a sign that he would not until He redoes the earth at the end of history. However as Christ noted..."there will be earthquakes and famines...wars and rumors of wars...these things are but the beginning of sorrows".
ISIS for example shot 200 civilians last week in a re-attack of Kobane. Pray for the victims of ISIS. We have killed about 10,000 of ISIS with the air campaign. I suspect not many of them reached Purgatory which is a reward essentially....unless God blessed them with grace at the last split second of their lives.
" He has mercy on whom He has mercy and whom He wills, He hardens"....Rom.9:18. " It is easy in an instant for the Lord to make a poor man rich"...OT..Sirach 11:21. If God hardened many at their end...they are in hell now. Pray for ISIS but their victims primarily.
