The Bishops at the Border

I love this photo - reminds me of Mass in a cloister.

Song for this post here.

  1. We have a lot of illegals here in NYC because we are a sanctuary city and they won't be arrested. I see them every day standing on the street corners in all kinds of weather from early morning waiting for any one to offer them a job. They will do the most menial jobs for very little money, and then they send a lot of what they do earn back to their families. They live packed together in small apartments. Many of them are very devout Catholics, and where there are Spanish Masses, they pack the churches. It doesn't do much for the churches financially because they don't have any money, but their fervor and devotion are amazing.

These truly are the "least of our brethren", and we will be judged on how we treat them.

    1. I love it that the Bishops did this - they brought Christ in the Blessed Sacrament right into the midst of them - what a merciful gesture!
